Description/Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-talented, dynamic and proactive Senior BD Specialist to join our London-based team. The successful candidate will work closely with BD Managers and lawyers across a range of practice groups.

The Senior BD Specialist will play a central role in driving forward strategic business development initiatives, deepening client relationships and enhancing the firm’s profile.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Prepare tailored pitches, responses to RFPs, and other marketing materials for new business opportunities and client meetings
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of the Firm’s deals data base and other core information, (e.g., deal and experience lists, rankings/awards, practice area descriptions and lawyer biographies)
  • Contribute to client targeting, including research, relationship mapping, opportunity tracking and client reporting
  • Coordinate and help execute BD and marketing campaigns, including events, digital content, and thought leadership aligned with client needs and market trends
  • Support key initiatives and cross-practice opportunities alongside BD Managers
  • Work with BD Managers to draft key directory submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, etc.) for assigned practice areas, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Help to coordinate client-facing events, presentations and event logistics
  • Support the Firm’s PR and Communications team as required
  • Support Business Development projects and other Firm initiatives as needed
  • Build strong relationships with lawyers and BD colleagues across offices
  • Perform other duties as required
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 4 – 5 years business development experience, ideally in a law firm, professional services or financial services environment
  • Strong MS Outlook skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a highly competitive and demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely and complete work product
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Hardworking and dedicated and always carries out tasks with care and perseverance
  • Must be resilient, remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Be client focused with a can-do approach
