Description/Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-talented, proactive detailed-oriented BD Specialist to join our London-based team. The successful candidate will work closely with BD Managers, lawyers and other business teams to support the delivery of pitches, legal directory submissions, clients initiatives and broader profile-raising campaigns.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Prepare tailored pitches, responses to RFPs, ensuring content is tailored, accurate and compelling
  • Maintain pitch tracker and deal databases
  • Maintain up-to-date marketing materials, CVs, capability statements to ensure they reflect the Firm’s latest experience
  • Contribute to client targeting, including relationship mapping
  • Work with BD Managers to coordinate submissions for legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500 – gathering information and tracking timelines
  • Help to coordinate client-facing events – assist with logistics, guest management, follow-up and reporting
  • Help deliver integrated BD campaigns in collaboration with the wider BD, Communications, and Digital teams
  • Support Business Development projects and other cross-practice initiatives as needed
  • Build strong relationships with lawyers and BD colleagues across offices
  • Perform other duties as required
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years business development experience, ideally in a law firm, professional services or financial services environment
  • Strong MS Outlook skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a highly competitive and demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely and complete work product
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Hardworking and dedicated and always carries out tasks with care and perseverance
  • Must be resilient, remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Be client focused with a can-do approach
