Description/Job Summary

The IT Trainer is responsible for training Firm personnel in all offices. The primary objective is to be able to identify training needs, provide knowledge support, develop, deliver, and administer training classes/workshops which addresses skill gaps and provides a clear learning path.

 

The IT Trainer will be a part of the Firm’s global IT Training Team and will work together with the current IT Trainer in the Firm’s London office.  The IT Trainer’s primary focus will be to deliver training and support to the Europe and Asian regions but is also required to assist the US team with global training initiatives on an as-needed basis. 

The successful candidate will be expected to design and deliver in-person classroom style training as well as  hybrid and remote training sessions covering Firm software on our desktop computers and supported mobile devices.  

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Conduct in-person classroom style induction training for new joiners, upskill training for existing employees, one-to-one sessions, desk-side training and support visits, webinars, workshops, e-learning methods and subject-based demos as needed;
  • Proactively develop and maintain training material, documentation, quick tips and/or best practice guides liasing with the other STB offices as needed to ensure uniformity and utilizing STB templates;
  • Assist with the creation, design and maintenance of training materials for training programs, software deployments and Firm rollouts;
  • Maintain and update the IT Training Library to making sure training content is relevant and up to date. (FAQ’s, ‘How To” training videos);
  • Organise and create training schedules and confirmations for new joiners inductions and follow-up training sessions;
  • Keep track of all inductions, workshops and ad hoc training bookings;
  • Research and test, as needed, Firm approved software on computers and mobile devices;
  • Attend weekly/monthly departmental meetings, and others if required;
  • Participate in IT projects that have a training requirement and assist with deployments,  timely training programs and/or materials;
  • Assist local IT Support Desk with troubleshooting requests from end users that require training support, e.g., how to questions;
  • Assist in identifying future learning needs;
  • Ability to learn new systems and/or software as required;
  • Support the wider IT team as required;
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required as needed; and
  • Travel maybe required.
Required Skills
  • Minimum of  2 years relevant experience required;
  • Ability to present training concepts and material to an audience of professional, legal and technical personnel effectively in verbal and written format;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Customer focused and ability to delivery white glove service;
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage work load and deliver within agreed deadlines;
  • Knowledge of Document Management Systems (DMS), e.g., iManage;
  • Advanced knowledge of  the latest version of MS Office Suite, e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel; and
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the following software’s - PDF software (Kofax, Adobe Pro) Video creating software (Camtasia and Snagit) MS Teams, Zoom, Comparison tool (Litera) Jigsaw.
