Description/Job Summary

Our preferred candidate will be prepared to develop a good understanding of the legal industry and the regulatory requirements that lawyers are subject to. They will have a strong interest in the learning and development and diversity and inclusion functions. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This is a role where you will work closely with the L&D and D&I managers. We are looking for someone who is happy to contribute to the development of both functions and share their own insights and ideas.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • managing the London L&D training schedule and D&I events calendar, booking rooms, liaising with the event support teams, creating invitations and diary invites;
  • creating and monitoring attendance lists, running training attendance reports and inputting, updating and maintaining the attorney training records in the London office;
  • attending training and D&I events and ensuring that they run smoothly;
  • liaising with external providers, setting up meetings, monitoring contracts and ensuring prompt payment of invoices;
  • helping to monitor the L&D and D&I spend against budget;
  • checking weekly and monthly training reports and making any required adjustments on the Firm's tracking system;
  • monitoring the smooth running of the Firm’s mentoring programme and running reports as required;
  • pulling reports from SelectHR to support with workforce diversity data requests;
  • presenting diversity data insights in a visual way i.e. through graphs and charts;
  • meeting with business service personnel and paralegals to introduce them to the L&D and D&I functions as part of the Firm’s on-boarding process;
  • attending meetings with other business service teams to ensure an effective exchange of information so that we operate as one integrated, efficient business services team;
  • creating, updating and following the L&D workflows to ensure the efficient working of the L&D function;
  • working with the L&D manager and other specialists within the firm to create engaging training materials;
  • working with the L&D / D&I manager to update and curate the L&D / D&I intranet pages;
  • working with the D&I manager to draft and send the D&I and Mental Health & Wellbeing newsletters and employee spotlights;
  • monitoring the L&D and D&I mailboxes and responding to queries in an efficient and professional manner; and
  • maintaining an accurate on-line filing system to enable the easy access of key documents, training materials and reports.
